What is Acupuncture?:
 The body consists of Meridians (energy channels) that run trough the entire body. Your energy called Qi (pronounced Chee), circulates throughout these Meridians. Any imbalance, blockage or misdirection of your Qi may lead to pain or illness. Acupuncture stimulates specific points on your body that restore your normal balance and flow of Qi.

Does Acupuncture hurt?
The answer is No. The needles that are used are thin and flexible and no bigger that a piece of hair. There is a natural sensation when the needles are inserted. This feeling is your Qi energy flowing through your body and first time patients are usually amazed how comfortable they are during a treatment.

Is Acupuncture Safe?
Yes, acupuncture is very safe and regulated by the Texas Medical Board. All needles used at Kinetic Acupuncture are sterile single use disposable needles. There is a strict protocol for the insertion and disposal of all needles to ensure the safety of our patients and practitioner.

What can I expect from my first treatment?
Basically your first treatment is very similar to going to any other doctor's office. You will need to fill out some paperwork and answer some questions about your medical history. Then there is the initial consultation with the Practitioner for about 15-20 min. Then you lay down and receive for treatment for usually 30-45 min, while relaxing and listening to some music. The amount of needles used varies on each patient. It is recommended that you wear loose fitting clothes.

How much do treatments cost?
The initial consult and acupuncture treatment is $70 and following treatments are $60. A herbal consult is $35 dollars with the herbs costing on average $10-30 per week. An average number of treatments to see effective results is 3-5 sessions. Discount Package pricing is also available in 5 treatment packages and 3 treatment packages.
